January 14 – 18, 2019 | 10 am – 12 pm | 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm
The class is based on the way we use the floor when we dance, focusing on the feet as support for our movements. The power lies in the feet and legs so the rest of the body is free to express itself. Dancers will work on fast movement, without neglecting the details. They will work on control and how to lose it. The continuity of movement and how energy in our bodies never stops even when we are at a standstill is a key notion to Lali’s teaching.
During the workshop, the participants will use the idea of transformation as a starting point to travel between what is real and what is not, the intimate and the social, the public and the personal. Using concepts that have been the bases for the creation of her piece iU an Mi, Lali will also propose improvisation work.
