Lewis Cooke’s movement is inspired by the many forms he has studied such as, contemporary, floor work, kathak, boxing, and at the same time being influenced by breaking and capoeira. Lewis’s dance career took off when he performed works by Akram Khan and Jasmin Vardimon while in National Youth Dance Company. Since graduating from London Contemporary Dance School, he has worked with internationally renowned contemporary companies such as Anton Lachky Company and Jasmin Vardimon Company. Lewis has created works with dancers of all ages in youth dance companies or dance schemes across the UK. He choreographed for the Ergo Dance Company based in Athens in 2017 as well as choreographing a solo for himself called a time when all lights must be hidden which toured nationally in 2018.

RelaxtoErupt is a physical demanding practice which aims to explore and discover 0-100% of tension and energy within the body and how that effects our capacity of movement, while performing drills on associate tension, breaking habitual patterns and playing with effortlessness in and out of the floor. The fundamentals of RelaxtoErupt are: playfulness, curiosity and pushing our bodies away from where is naturally comfortable in order to find new pathways to develop.
