PUBLIC PRESENTATION | SILENCE, ON DANSE !

Silence, ON danse ! invites young people from the Secteur des sourds of Lucien-Pagé school and people with diverse backgrounds to explore body language together. Since January 22, about 15 participants plunge into a creation process with choreographer Emmanuel Jouthe, assisted by Élise Bergeron. During a series of 12 workshops, the group will work in a scenography inspired by the proximity relations found in SUITES PERMÉABLES, a pivotal work from the choreographer’s repertoire. An approach based on listening will foster understanding of others in an inclusive and sharing environment. The participants will create connections between the particularities of contemporary dance, the ones of the Québec Sign Language and the ones of the body language.
