Rasmus Ölme (SWE)

MASTER CLASSES

April 25 – 29, 2022 | 10 am – 12 pm

After a career as a dancer in Europe, Rasmus Ölme founded his company REFUG in 2001. He produced more than 10 pieces and toured through Europe. In 2014, Rasmus received his PhD in choreography at the University of the Arts, in Stockholm. The year after, he took the direction of the BFA program of Dance and Choreography at the Danish National School of Performing Arts and in 2019 he was appointed teacher and started a MFA in choreography.

His class investigates kinesthetic sensation as tactile experience, which includes the interplay between moving/touching and being moved/touched. The participants experiment the catchphrase Everything Everywhere All The Time as a full body sensation while moving. Finally, they focus on the interplay between attention and movement and will question the supposedly immaterial and ephemeral nature of movement.
