October 15 – 18, 2019 | 10 am – 12 pm

The class is structured around the research that led to the creation of BORDERLINES, which explores the notion of check point, points of passage or blockages, points of visible tension and materialized by borders but that the body also internalizes. How to question the bodies in the memory of real or imaginary crossings ? How to understand the traces that each one keeps of the borders crossed, with utopia and hope, with risk and difficulties ?

Taoufiq Izeddiou discovered his passion for contemporary dance while studying classical and jazz at the Institut Français de Marrakech. He founded Cie Anania in 2001. Concerned with transmission and pedagogy, he set up the first training in contemporary dance in Morocco. His choreographies have been presented in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and America.
