WORKSHOP | Tina Afiyan Breiova (CZK/GBR)

Tina Afiyan Breiova is a movement director and teacher of Armenian descent, based in the Czech Republic and the UK. She's working in danse and in the movie industry. Tina is a founding member of the Ferus Animi//Terra Nova collective and the founder of Axis of Action. She is a graduate of P.A.R.T.S. and has taught at institutions including London Contemporary Dance School, HAMU Academy Prague, Menagerie de Verre Paris, the Peridance Capezio Centre New York, Henny Jurriens Studio Amsterdam, the Oxford School of Drama, b12 Festival Berlin and P.A.R.T.S.

Axis of Action

Working from an artistic lens we will turn inside-out various movement principals with the intention of finding variability and expanding our intellectual and physical horizons. We will look at exploring tools and perspectives useful for artists in pursuit of furthering their creative craft, such as the use of image and imagination as texturing tools, the benefits of visualisation, and explorations into the principles that form the primary building blocks of our movement patterns.

GUIDELINES

• Drop-ins are accepted*;
• Registration priority will go the participants that are eligible to the measure of MFOR-Entreprise, volet Arts & Culture (Canadian citizens or permanent residents in Canada and currently residing in Québec);
• Price is $10 /day. If you are not eligible to the measure of MFOR-Entreprise, volet Arts & Culture, price is $25 /day;
• Payment must be made by credit or debit card before each class.
