Louise Bédard Danse, Sylvain Émard Danse, Danièle Desnoyers/Le Carré des Lombes, Fortier Danse-Création, Et Marianne et Simon, Danse Carpe Diem/Emmanuel Jouthe, maribé – sors de ce corps/Marie Béland, Frédérick Gravel, MAYDAY, Cie Manuel Roque et Catherine Gaudet are the eleven members of Circuit-Est centre chorégraphique. Comprising three generations of creators, these companies have been involved in their work and in the dance milieu at the local, national, and international levels. They have contributed to the development of contemporary dance, all the while adding to Circuit-Est’s vitality and influence.

As members, they are part of a unique artistic and organizational research and exploration centre open to the whole community, whose mission is to support choreographic creation in a radically changing socio-economic context. In return for their financial contribution and involvement in the management of the choreographic centre, they benefit from a constructive and stimulating working environment, one that favours collaboration and solidarity, as well as the exchange of knowledge and expertise.

To become a member

Circuit-Est centre chorégraphique has company members, individual members and guest members.

Membership application’s may be submitted with the Artistic Director of Circuit-Est. The company or individual applying must have a minimum of three years of continuous activities prior to applying for membership. The choreographer must complete the form that will be given to him/her and have the support of two members (companies or individuals), themselves members of Circuit-Est for at least two years.

In order for Circuit-Est to fulfill its mandate adequately, the membership capacity is limited. When Circuit-Est is able to welcome a new member, the applications received are submitted in June to the artistic committee. The committee may then recommend the addition of a new member to the board of directors.

Several criteria are taken into consideration for the acceptance of a member: artistic affinities, commitment to the discipline and environment, sharing culture, diversified contributions, potential for emulation.
