Ça danse en MOI workshop:

Since 2013, Circuit-Est centre chorégraphique has been running an annual cultural mediation project. Over the course of the past editions, no fewer than 150 participants aged 13 to 86 have taken part in workshops led by eight choreographers. Aimed at a wide audience, Circuit-Est has already opened its doors to teenagers, seniors, blind or visually impaired people, people experiencing psychological fragility, as well as Deaf and hard-of-hearing people.

The project

In collaboration with CAVAC Montréal, the project Ça danse en MOI is intended for women who are victims of crime (including anyone identifying as a woman or non-binary).

Choreographer Sarah Dell’Ava and her assistant, both contemporary dance artists, will lead the workshops centered on regaining personal empowerment and will guide participants through a process of collective creation. The final work will explore the theme of unveiling: gradually removing the veils that cloud our vision, our being, our mind.
