Creative Process Workshop

This workshop will focus on duet improvisation. Special attention will be given to listening, risk management, instant composition, and performance-based improvisation. Selected excerpts from repertoire will be taught as examples of certain principles of writing and improvisation. There will also be space for improvisation work, as well as solo and group play.

Frédérick Gravel (QC) is a choreographer, dancer, musician, lighting designer, and Artistic Director of DLD. He has created works for renowned companies such as Carte Blanche and tanzmainz, collaborated with artists from diverse backgrounds, and pursued continuous artistic research with a group of long-time collaborators on the Montréal scene for over 20 years.
