Catherine Gaudet stands out as a choreographer with a distinctive signature, exploring the body’s transformations under the influence of the ambiguities that drive human beings. Holding a Master’s degree in Contemporary Dance from UQAM, she develops a physicality where the body becomes a site of resonance for the complex and contradictory sensations rumbling beneath the skin.

Her creations, presented in Quebec and internationally, probe what humans attempt to conceal and question the tension between the unconscious and the social surface.

Since her first choreography in 2004, Catherine Gaudet has received recognition at the Aarhus International Choreography Competition and created impactful works such as Grosse fatigue, Je suis un autre, and L’affadissement du merveilleux.

After residencies in Brussels, Berlin, and at the Centre Chorégraphique National de Tours, she continues her research on ambiguity and cycles, while also serving as an associate creator with DLD since 2018.
