Journées de la culture

School Workshop

Our cultural actions

Initiated and coordinated by Culture pour tous, the Journées de la culture are three days of free, open-to-all activities designed to broaden public access to arts and culture. The event takes place every year on the last Friday of September and the following two days, throughout Québec.

The program invites participants to discover and celebrate culture in all its forms. Thousands of activities are organized by professional artists, artisans and cultural workers, as well as businesspeople, teachers, and community, municipal, or government workers from all backgrounds.

Journées de la culture:
September 26th, 2025
12:30 PM ➜ 4:30 PM

Through La culture fait du bien, Circuit-Est invites choreographer, teacher, and cultural worker Chloé Bourdages-Roy to lead a school workshop for elementary students, as well as a workshop with people experiencing homelessness, in collaboration with the organization Dans la Rue, as part of the Journées de la culture on September 26, 2025.

The Choreographer

A graduate of Concordia University in 2014, Chloé Bourdages-Roy divides her time between teaching and creation. She co-directed the films Analepses (2012) and Déracinement (2013), presented at several local and international festivals. In September 2014, her piece Je fuis, j’oublie, je reste was part of the Danses Buissonnières program presented by Tangente.

Her Artistic Approach

Fascinated by unconventional creative spaces and audience engagement, Chloé Bourdages-Roy transformed her film Déracinement into an in situ work (2016-2019) and developed Danser nos souvenirs, a participatory activity, in collaboration with Exeko. Graduated in cultural mediation (2022), she designs workshops for new parents and explores projects ranging from cosmology to contemporary jigging, always seeking to weave sensitive connections between art and community.
