Throughout her career, Mélanie Demers has received several notable awards, including the Grand Prix de la danse de Montréal in 2021 for La goddam voie lactée, and the CALQ Award for Best Choreographic Work in Quebec in 2022 for Confession publique.
In 2024, she was awarded the prestigious National Arts Centre Award as part of the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards. Alongside her choreographic practice, she has ventured into theater, notably directing Déclarations, and continues her pedagogical and interdisciplinary involvement through teaching and artistic mediation.
