Geared towards choreographers, performers, or emerging artists in Quebec with at least two years of artistic practice, this residency allows the development of a project in a duo with an artistic partner from dance or from another discipline.

SIMON RENAUD

SIMON RENAUD is a Montreal-based dancer and choreographer originally from Gatineau. Co-founder of AMOUR AMOUR (2022), he has performed in Canada and internationally for choreographers such as Daniel Léveillé, Caroline Laurin-Beaucage, Tedd Robinson, and Alban Richard. The omnipresence of slowness in his work aims to invite the audience to appreciate the beauty found between stillness and movement, past and future, and to contemplate the unbearable, inaccessible present moment.

ROMAIN CAMIOLO
(CAN)

ROMAIN CAMIOLO is a Montreal-based composer whose work spans film, concert music, and dance. Trained at the Conservatoire de Lyon and holding a doctorate in composition from the Université de Montréal, he collaborates notably with filmmaker Miryam Charles and choreographer Simon Renaud. As co-director of AMOUR AMOUR (2023), he explores the friction between art forms.
