New residence between Quebec and the Basque Country

Circuit-Est is pleased to announce the launch of a new cross-residency program between Quebec and the Basque Country.

At the beginning of the summer, we will welcome an artist from the Basque Country to Montreal for a period of research and creation. In return, an artist from Quebec will travel to the Basque Country in the fall 2027 to develop their project in a new artistic and cultural context.

For Quebec artists

Selected artist in 2026

Nagore Tamayo Goni
(ETA)

An emerging contemporary dancer and creator from Gipuzkoa, Basque Country. Nagore is currently touring and developing her work Nondik Abiatu Inora, a partnering-based work. Now she is developing her first solo piece, A chip off. This work arises from both a generational desire to reflect on the loss of innocence and a need as a woman to approach the figure of the mother. It aims to engage with this legacy through vulnerability, working across movement, voice, and both contemporary and traditional languages.
