Sylvain Émard Danse

For more than thirty years, Sylvain Émard has explored human nature through the power of the body. Founder of his company in 1990, he has created over thirty works, including the concept of Le Grand Continental™, presented across Canada and internationally.

Invited by Robert Lepage to choreograph the opera 1984, he is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Jean A. Chalmers Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance.

Since founding Sylvain Émard Danse in 1990, he has built a repertoire of more than thirty original works, presented in Quebec and abroad.

Over the years, he has also created landmark pieces for various festivals and productions, collaborating with renowned artists and expanding his choreographic universe beyond the contemporary dance stage.
